GRAUZEIT – Schwarzes Licht

With Schwarzes Licht, GRAUZEIT creates a cold and hypnotic minimal wave album that explores themes of self-dissolution, nocturnal intimacy, and chemical emptiness. The six tracks move through smoky spaces, sleepless bodies, and slow forms of addiction, without ever succumbing to romance or mere nostalgia.

Reduced synthesizers, monotonous rhythms, and a dense, suffocating atmosphere carry lyrics brimming with black imagery: needles as prayers, smoke in the blood, perfume as illness, and rooms devoid of any sense of time. Everything feels detached, as if the music originates from an endless night, somewhere between desire, decay, and utter emotional exhaustion.

Schwarzes Licht draws on the raw aesthetic of classic German minimal wave, yet remains unique and uncompromisingly minimalist. No solace, no redemption—only cold light, slow disintegration, and the feeling of dissolving piece by piece into darkness.
