Highlife is a style of music that originated in West Africa in the early 20th century and was particularly popular in the 50s and 60s. It is an upbeat style of music characterized by jazzy horns and guitars.

The Highlife Backpack is an ode to my heritage and is inspired by the vibrant and intricate fabrics from West Africa. It is a sturdy yet lightweight backpack that incorporates some fun patterns that you can infuse with as much color as you like. Perfect for stash busting!

This is an intermediate level pattern. It requires knowledge of how to change colors, read a color chart, and maintain tension.

The pattern is written in standard US crochet terms. It comes in one size. It includes color charts for all sections and a coloring page to try out different color combinations.
