Demons & Dungeoneers! Character Sheet (The Shrouded One)

The spirit within does not want to die as the physical is long gone. And that is how a doppelganger is born and continues to exist until the spirit has found what it wants. Jarid Longstrum was a hard-working lumberjack in the town of Nurenhill. He worked for a wealthy merchant who would purchase the lumber from him. Everything was great until that wealthy merchant named Pug forcefully took his wife and made her submit to his will. Pug’s henchmen then killed Jarid in his own home…or so they thought.

His love so strong for his wife endured. Even though his body form is gone, his spirit stays alive and manages to adapt and take other forms of life (temporarily) to control their movements and thought processes. He will not rest until he finds Pug and his henchmen and frees his wife. Until then, he will be a doppelganger adapting and living temporarily from one body to another or even shapeshifting until his spirit can find peace.

In the meantime, he usually goes as Jarid Longstrum, hoping that his name will attract Pug or his henchmen to help end his search for them. He works as a dungeoneer to travel and explore various lands and regions, delving into dungeons and caves, but many times, he seeks work in town, asking for the whereabouts of Pug.

Jarid is a doppelganger, also known as The Shrouded One; and with these forms, he has attained unusual powers. His willpower to find justice for what had happened will not stop until he has found freedom for his wife.
