A fun game created on Power point for making your lessons more fun and effective!
You can use it for your online and classroom lessons, and it's easily adaptable to any topic you like.
Divide the class into 2 teams.
Each team has to cool down its potato to win.
- Get 1 fire point for each match you find (raise the potato temperature)
- Get 1 water point for each drop of water you find (cool down the potato temperature)
Every turn a team chooses a grill and answer a question or play the minigame. After a team answers a question, it will be given the chance to choose a potato. Each one of them can help the team cooling down or raising the temperature of the teams’ potatoes.
Besides matches and drops, each team can also build up 2 special effects that will be activated once the team finds all the letters for each one of them (they can only be used once).
- Extinguisher: 5 water points
- Camp fire: 5 fire points
If a team finds the swap icon the teams will swap the points and the power ups collected until that point of the game.
Besides the normal questions there are 2 kinds of minigames: speed challenges or 50/50 choices.
The game ends when:
- A team manages to totally cool down its potato. (WIN)
- A team reaches the highest temperature (LOST)
- There are no more grills to choose (THE TEAM WITH LOWEST TEMPERATURE WINS)
