Our Map is a visual metaphor of what an organisation might look like. Not officially of course. But "under the surface". Indeed, behind officially established rules, men and women live, decide and behave according to their own unwritten rules, perceptions and emotions.

Why this metaphor? To allow you to quickly take the “Altitude Attitude”: see from above with a fresh and systemic perspective what makes your company live and stay alive. You will see the irrational elements that may lead to motivation and contribute to Change, to Learning and to Innovation or may be obstacles to them.

You will easily recognize those elements – you probably have encountered most of them - and realize they are all connected, either in a virtuous or in a vicious way. 

To the left, you will discover the threatening areas – such as “Tectonic Change Area”, “Conventional Wisdom Ship”, “Volcano of Incertitude’, ”The Resistance to Change Petrified Forest” or the too famous “Bullshit Hole”.

To the right, you will discover all the elements that, when well-managed, can leverage success such as “Emergent Strategy Tableland”, “Humour Highroad”, “Innovation Bay”, “New values Capital” and many others. All this driving towards the capital of "Customerland" ,"Success City", located in the upper right corner of the map.

Adopting the “Altitude Attitude”, you can better reach “Focus point” and influence the “climate”.

Your Mental Maps are your territory.
