300 words: perfect story length

   Like many children, one of my first memories is a room filled with picture books. A few words on each page, but mostly illustrations.

    Did you do the same thing? Did you read some books over and over, implanting those words forever in your memory?

    As I learned new words, and began my own reading journey, I was still attracted to simple stories I could remember and tell others, because half the fun of reading a book is sharing it with friends.

    Somewhere around age ten to 12 I began to look at the world more seriously. People everywhere had problems, and sought help from experts in various professions.       

    But it wasn’t until high school that I started to look at specific stories that had lived for centuries, altered human behavior, and had changed the world for the better.

Short stories with unforgettable messages...that's what I'd like to talk to you about today.
