This is probably my favourite of all my Halloween patterns so far! It is quick and easy to knit, and the end result looks so good. Each eyeball is knit as one piece, in the round on double-pointed needles, and only requires scraps of yarn. I've done my using DK, but as gauge isn't particularly important here, you can substitute whatever you have in your stash.

Because it starts with 6 stitches, I do find that the first round or two is a bit fiddly, but after that everything is very simple - you don't even need to purl. There are a couple of colour changes from the pupil to the iris, and from the iris to the white of the eyeball, so this could be a good project for those who want to practise colour changes. Skills required:
  • casting on and joining in the round,
  • knitting,
  • kfb,
  • k2tog,
  • colour changes.
