Suliranin is a traditional Filipino kundiman arranged by Juan Silos Jr., centering on the struggles and burdens that love can bring. The lyrics express the weight of heartache and the trials faced by someone devoted yet unreciprocated. Its plaintive melody and melancholic tone reflect the essence of the kundiman—emotional sincerity, longing, and vulnerability. Through Silos’ arrangement, the piece was given new life, preserving its haunting beauty and ensuring its place in the Filipino art song repertoire.
