I’ve created this set of Welsh alphabet flashcards as a learning resource to help beginners get familiar with all letters of Yr Wyddor Gymraeg, The Welsh Alphabet including the Welsh digraphs such as CH, DD, FF, LL, NG, PH, RH and TH.

Each card includes:

• the Welsh letter
• a simple pronunciation guide
• an example Welsh word
• the English meaning
• an illustration to help you remember it
• extra pronunciation tips where needed

This resource is designed to be simple and easy to use whether you’re just starting to learn Welsh, brushing up on your pronunciation, or want something visual to refer back to while practising.

Please note that Welsh pronunciation can vary depending on the word, dialect and region, so some letters may have more than one pronunciation. The cards focus on common examples to help give you a strong starting point.
