Thanksgiving Art Lesson Turkey Art Project Thanksgiving Art Activity K to 3
This Thanksgiving Turkey Art Lesson helps students explore thankfulness while building art, reading and writing skills. Made for Kindergarten to Grade 3, it is a low-prep, mixed-media lesson that brings together drawing, painting, literacy and social-emotional learning.
Students follow a step-by-step art tutorial to draw and paint a turkey using wax crayons or oil pastels and watercolor or tempera paint. Along the way, they learn about Thanksgiving, reflect on gratitude, and share what they are thankful for through both art and writing. The focus is on kindness, thankfulness and connection rather than food and turkeys alone.
