THREE SONGS BY STING for Solo Guitar by Sting-Bogdanovic

Three Songs by Sting is a collection of three solo-guitar recompositions of some of Sting’s most celebrated songs. Rather than conventional arrangements, these works by Dusan Bogdanovic reinterpret the original material through new harmonic, rhythmic, and stylistic perspectives, shedding fresh and unexpected light on the music.

“Shape of My Heart” is transformed into a jazz ballad; “Every Breath You Take” becomes a prelude in the style of J. S. Bach, infused with the distinctive asymmetrical rhythm of the Balkan 7/8 meter; and “Fields of Gold” is reimagined as a choral-like work for solo guitar, evoking the sonority ensemble.

Dedicated to and performed by guitarist Stephanie Jones.
