Hi, I’m Caleb-Emmanuel Lerus I am a decorated Division I collegiate track and field athlete, Illinois state alumnus and a proud French-American with a deep passion for cooking and baking, especially bread.


My journey into the world of baking began during my time at university, when I found myself craving a French baguette, which was something that reminded me of home. After coming up empty around my college town in Normal/Bloomington, I decided to take matters into my own hands. What started as a personal mission to recreate the perfect French baguette quickly grew into a full-blown obsession with sourdough, artisan loaves, brioche, pizza dough, and more.


Bread became more than food, it became my craft, my creative outlet, and a way to connect with my heritage. Whether it's a slow-fermented sourdough or a golden, buttery brioche, each recipe is built on love, patience, and precision.
