Curriculum Overview

Course includes:


24 hours of classroom instruction

  1. Saturday, May 31st 2025
  2. Saturday, June 14th 2025
  3. Saturday, June 28th 2025
  4. Saturday, July 12th 2025

In person classes will be held at Holiday Inn Express Houston E - Beltway 8

12 hours of online instruction

4 hours practicum

  2. Cultural Sensitivity/Competency
  3. Case Management/Coordination
  4. Ethics/Confidentiality
  5. Civil/Criminal Justice System
  6. History of Victim Services
  7. Crime Victims Compensation
  8. Trauma of Victimization
  9. Crisis Intervention
  10. Victims’ Rights


Investment includes four hours of coaching after completion of curriculum. The coaching sessions are one (1) hour per session for a total of four sessions.

Scope of coaching includes, but not limited to:

  • Developing outreach program
  • Developing speaking/training
  • Working with established programs

Thecia Jenkins is an international speaker, consultant, and author working with helping professionals to build their relationship skills with themselves and those they are helping to empower themselves.

She is a certified behavioral consultant and emotional intelligence practitioner and works with individual and organizations in Trinidad and Tobago, West Africa and across the United States. She consulted on the The Book of John Gray on the topic of sexual assault and abuse. 

Thecia is passionate about delivering transformational programming that challenges professionals to increase their self-awareness, manage change, connect with others and embrace diversity to build high achieving teams that produce bold transformational outcomes. She does this through keynotes, success workshops, consulting, and coaching.
