This Footprint Memory Art Lesson is an end of year art project where students trace their foot and fill it with drawings of memories from the school year. The finished footprint becomes a personal keepsake that celebrates their experiences, friendships and favorite moments.

Students trace their foot, divide the shape into sections, and illustrate something memorable in each one, such as favorite subjects, activities, friends, field trips or accomplishments. The project combines drawing, reflection, storytelling and creativity, and because every student fills the footprint with their own memories, each artwork is unique. It is made for elementary students.

WHAT TEACHERS ARE SAYING

★★★★ “We read Dr. Seuss "Oh the places you'll go" and I had my grade 2's trace their foot and write their memories in the foot and followed some of the art tips in the lesson. Thank you!” Raelene T.
