This song has been a long time in the making. Morning in America is my personal tribute to the men and women who serve—and have served—in the U.S. military, and to the families who sacrifice right alongside them.

While writing this, I thought often of my father and his friends, my uncles and cousins, childhood friends, and so many others whose quiet courage has made freedom possible for the rest of us.

This isn’t a political song—it’s a song of gratitude. A reflection on the people who don’t make the policies or write the headlines. They simply go to work each day with purpose and quiet bravery.
