These 40 Winter Art Challenge Cards give students winter-themed art practice that reinforces art making skills, the elements of art, art techniques, creative thinking and experimentation through a choice-based, flexible approach.

HOW TO USE IT

Use the cards as mini-lessons or explorations, practice of learned techniques, sub lessons, homework, sketchbook glue-ins, art centers, warm-ups or bell ringers, exit tickets or when-you're-done activities.

Use them with any art mediums. You can direct which medium students use or give them full choice: wax crayons, colored pencils, felt markers, watercolor paints, soft pastels, oil pastels or tempera paint all work.
