Asking and Answering Questions — Grade 3
Watch It · Read It · Prove It.
Your 3rd grade English learners can answer a question out loud, but when they have to write it and prove it with the text, they get stuck. This lesson breaks the skill into small, visible steps: one question word at a time, a model, practice asking, practice answering, and then proof from the paragraph.
Watch It first: start with the free video lesson. Sofia & Canela ask and answer questions about a story (about 4 minutes). The link is on the Start Here page.
