Antique Victorian-Era Silver-Plated Rose Floral Sugar Scuttle
6" tall x 6" long x 3" wide
A collector's favorite!!!
This Charming, late Victorian-era/early Edwardian (1890-1910) sugar scuttle features ornate rose floral chasing and repousse' detailing on the exterior body and pedestal base.
Designed in the classic "coal scuttle" form, it was traditionally intended to hold granulated sugar at the "tea table", often accompanied by a small matching shovel-style spoon (not available)
This is a silver-plated base metal (likely EPNS or white metal) and does have some visible corrosion on the interior plating (see pics), this piece is best appreciated as a decorative display item or a unique container for non-food items (such as potpourri, trinkets, or dry floral arrangements) rather than for direct food contact.
