In the very regular and quiet combs of Elysian Fields, Aurora seeks to turn her best friend, Brandon, into her man. She just has to beat him to proposing to his less than deserving fiance. In an effort to thwart his plans, she makes it in time and confesses her true feelings. Unfortunately, a freak show accident occurs, and Aurora finds herself in a coma where she finds out that her destiny is much greater than she could have imagined. 

In another realm, Dragun Run, the dragon king has lost his wife during childbirth due to a curse placed upon her by a villainous witch, who is still at large. His dragon familiar has promised he can find a worthy vessel to carry the essence of his children if given enough time. His search is not in vain when he connects with Pearl, the first witch and ruler of Paradise, who saves Aurora's life and offers her a way out of her mundane life where she'll have the love she always dreamed of if she becomes the vessel to house the dragon king's heirs. 

She hesitantly agrees, and when the dragon king meets her, he realizes she's the exact doppleganger of his late wife, and there's an instant connection that surpasses that of love, but that of a fated mate. 

While the two are connecting, there's a darkness lurking in the shadows of Dragun Run, perpetrating under the guise of a friend prepared to take everything from the dragon king because of an unrequited love. The only problem is, no one knows who this darkness is, and Aurora, the dragon king, and his dragon heirs are all at the mercy of this person's perverse mind.
