About Me

Christopher Kennedy writes dark crime and horror from a terraced house near Oldham, entirely British in setting and outlook. A British Army veteran, he founded Medlock Holts to publish fiction that stays close to home: police procedurals where the evidence never lies but the story built on it does, and folk horror set in a Britain that looks exactly like now.

Five books are on the shelf so far. DCI Toni Holden: A Common Source and The Cold Chain, Merseyside police procedurals. Beyond Holden, three standalones: Tŷ Brân, Welsh folk horror; The Irk, Manchester folk horror; and Ward C, a British hospital horror.
