Diwali: A Celebration Through Stories and Play (Printable PDF, Ages 4 to 8)

A Diwali book for reading, talking, thinking and making together.

Five illustrated stories, each told through a different child's Diwali: a video call with grandparents in India, sharing ladoos with neighbours, comforting a puppy who is scared of crackers, turning a spilled-paint mistake into a starry diya, and a school assembly where four friends discover what Diwali is really about.

After each story come six activity pages at three levels (Look & Find, Solve with Clues, Try a Challenge), so children of different ages can play with the same story. Activities explore day and night, halves and doubles, patterns, sound, maps, fractions and more, all rooted in the stories.
