Chinese New Year World - 2024 Dragon Edition (PC/Quest)

A world made for the 2024 new year for China, which was the Year of the (wood) Dragon! I figured I'd take a crack at making a Chinese/Japanese themed world, mostly Chinese of course since it's the Chinese New Year.

Note, I myself, am not Chinese. Nor am I of an Asian decent, so I do apologize if this isn't exactly 100% accurate. But I tried looking up things as I went and found models as close as possible.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must install ProBuilder for some things in the world to work! You can find it in the Package Manager in Unity. You must also use the 2022 version of Unity that VRChat requires!

What is in the world?

1.) I tried to get a ton of foods often associated in the Chinese New Year, so there are a lot of Chinese/Japanese themed foods.

2.) A new Playable Chinese Chess set! This is something new I've done, the model came separated enough to be created into a playable game! I've also made the asset available as a prefab for free here: https://herobrinesings.gumroad.com/l/ChineseChess

3.) Togglable Chinese New Year Music, this is connected to the music player by the large vase in the corner of the room! The song is shortened on Quest due to file size restrictions.

4.) Mirrors! I know you guys love your mirrors, this is going to become a normal addition to my worlds so enjoy! There's Low Quality and High Quality available, their toggles are connected to the rolls on the floor.

5.) PC/Quest versions of the world! Quest features of texture changes, this maybe be removeable of normals to ensure the files can upload better, or slightly lower resolution images.
