This track honours my mum, who lost her battle with cancer and passed away following a brain haemorrhage. It shares her greatest fear – of leaving this world alone – and the vow I made to stay by her side every step of the way, through those final four days, holding her hand until the end.

It speaks of the pain of the day she left, when I felt like I’d lost everything and wanted nothing more than to follow her; the quiet comfort of seeing her in my dreams, where we talk just like we used to; and the aching wish I still carry, to be able to pick up the phone and hear her voice one more time.

More than just a song, this is a tribute to my mum, my whole world, and my very best friend – a reminder that even though she’s no longer here in body, she lives forever in my heart.
