Pumpkin Art Lesson Autumn Art Project Fall Art Activity Fall Art Project
This Cute Pumpkin Art Lesson is a cheerful fall art project for grades 1 to 4. Students turn a pumpkin into a little character with eyes and a mouth, surrounded by autumn leaves, an acorn and a colorful background, and the finished work makes a bright hallway or bulletin board display.
Along the way students explore shape, color, layering, facial expression, seasonal imagery and artistic decision making. The lesson comes with a warm-up hook, an autumn reading page, a KWL chart, reflections, peer feedback, a rubric and an artist statement, so you can teach it as a quick art project or extend it into a fuller cross-curricular autumn lesson.
