9-Dot Wide Saccade Grid Tool
This tool uses a simple 9-dot grid layout to train basic saccadic eye movements and cervical joint position sense in a clear, low-complexity visual environment. The evenly spaced targets provide predictable reference points that support accurate eye jumps and controlled head movement without excessive visual or cognitive load .
For saccade training, the dots act as clean visual targets for horizontal, vertical, and diagonal eye movements. When paired with a finger, laser pointer, or head-mounted laser, the grid with connecting lines becomes an effective CJPS tool, reinforcing cervical proprioception and the brain’s internal map of neck position in space.
This pattern is well suited for early-stage rehab, warm-ups, or reset drills, allowing the nervous system to prioritise precision, midline awareness, and sensorimotor integration. Through repeated, accurate exposure, it leverages activity-dependent neuroplasticity to build a stable foundation before progressing to more visually demanding patterns.
