Moss stitch ponytail beanie, sizes 2 years to lady - Hailey

This warm and cosy 12ply ponytail/messy bun beanie is worked in double moss stitch throughout. It can be worked in one or two colours.

 

This pattern is worked in rows, on a pair of needles, then seamed. If you like this cute beanie but prefer to work in the round, on a set of needles, without a seam, please see my Harmony pattern.

 

Pattern sizes: Age 2-5 yrs, 6-10 yrs, Teen and Lady.

 

To fit head: 52 (54-55-56) cm [20½ (21¼-21¾-22) ins].

 

Yarn required:

Two Colour Version:

Panda Magnum 12ply, 100g balls@185m.

1 (1-1-1) ball 1st Colour (C1-green).

1 (1-1-1) ball 2nd Colour (C2-red).

One Colour Version:

1 (1-1-1) ball Panda Magnum 12ply, 100g balls@185m.

 

Needles required: A pair of 5.50mm [UK 5, US 9] knitting needles.

Wool needle for sewing up.

 

Tension: 16 sts and 26 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over double moss st, using 5.50mm needles.
