My Wild Garden

This book is about all the life and wildness that exists and thrives in our countryside garden - because I let it grow WILD.

Our wild English garden has been our sanctuary for many years. It has been with us through countless play dates, enjoyed by our children and their friends, as well as our ourselves and most importantly, by all the beautiful wild creatures who visit or live in our wild garden.

Over the years I have purposely tried to re-wild our garden, allowing new trees to grow and also sowing seeds of

wildflowers alongside shrubs, wild rose bushes, herbal plants and the traditional flowers.

I photographed most of the plants, insects and animals in our garden. I used the photos as research photos for illustrating each plant, insect or animal that I have seen in our garden over the years.

This book is a visual journey of our wild garden, using art work of all the insects, plants and animals which I have illustrated by hand. Each illustration has a basic description of the plant, insect or animal. Enjoy this visual escape into the natural world and maybe also become inspired to re-wild your own garden or meadow!
