Help Your Child Feel Ready for Prep 2027: Australian School Readiness Pack, State-Style Letters, A4

Is your little one starting Prep, Kindy or Reception in 2027, and you're quietly worried they won't cope on their own? Settling in is often less about reading and more about small everyday skills: opening the lunchbox, putting the hat on, finding their name and asking for help. This pack helps you practise those little things at home, 10 minutes a day, in the 4 weeks before school.

Made for Australian families: A4 paper, Australian spelling, fruit break / recess / lunch, "no hat, no play", and State-Style Letters for tracing, in your state's school style.

PICK YOUR STATE (5 state files in one ZIP download, plus a START HERE guide)

• NSW & ACT: NSW Foundation-style letters, Kindergarten signs
• VIC, WA & NT: Victorian Modern Cursive-style beginner letters, Prep, Pre-primary and Transition signs
• Queensland: Queensland Beginners-style letters, Prep signs
• South Australia: SA Pre-cursive-style beginner letters, Reception signs

HOW TO USE

1. Open the file for your state.
2. Print on A4 at 100% (Actual size). Colour or black and white both work.
3. Slide tracing pages into a plastic sleeve and use a whiteboard marker to reuse them.

ABOUT THE LETTERS

The tracing pages use free open-licence school-style beginner fonts (Edu fonts, SIL Open Font Licence). They follow each state's beginner print style; they are not official education department files. Always follow your child's teacher if they show a letter differently.
