Frogger

Frogger Mitts were originally published in 2017 as the Pearl Fiber Arts store pattern during the Rose City Yarn Crawl. They have now been updated to include an additional size, and to my current designing standards.

Originally inspired by the classic arcade game, Frogger, these convertible mitts feature a fun slip stitch pattern on the backs and a smooth stockinette palm.

Sizes

S (M, L)

Model is wearing a M with a 6.75” hand circumference (positive ease). If between sizes, choose the larger size.

Final Dimensions

6.5 (7.75, 9)”/16.5 (19.5, 23)cm hand circumference. Length adjustable to hand length. Mitts shown measure 9” 23cm in total length.

To measure your hand circumference, wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your palm above your thumb.

Seismic Yarn Butter Sport (328yds/300m/100g; 100% extra fine superwash merino); 1 skein in colorway Magenta Rhodonite OR

~ 160 (200, 250)yds/146 (183, 229)m of sport weight yarn (exact yardage will vary due to variable length)

Needles

US 3 3.25mm - DPNs or your favorite method for working small circumferences.

4 stitch markers (labeled A, B, C, and D), tapestry needle, waste yarn

Gauge

16.5 sts x 22 rounds = 2” x 2” 5 cm x 5 cm in stockinette stitch, blocked.

About the Low Vision version: The text is a sans serif font in 24pt. The text is black ink on a white background. No italics were used in this version. While a chart is included, the chart has also been written out in full. This pattern has not been tested for a screen reader.
