In 1879, Bruce and Barbra each struggle alone to survive in the rugged, untamed mountains of Ute City, where towering peaks, hidden dangers, and the promise of silver test every step they take. Each carries their own burdens, searching for more than survival in a harsh and unpredictable frontier of Cowboys, Indians, and wild animals.

Fate brings them together along trails filled with danger, discovery, and growing mystery. Unexpected friendships, loyal companions, and hard-earned trust slowly turn strangers into family and individual struggles into shared purpose.

As the rough wilderness begins its transformation into the future town of Aspen, adventure waits around every bend, romance grows in unexpected places, and the past still holds secrets waiting to be uncovered.

A shiny, lucky stone, found in the river, was placed in a pot of boiling water for luck, and strangers traveling the forest trails of the Great Rocky Mountains came by, and each put something in the pot. They all shared the meal and discovered that the shiny rock was a Silver Nugget.
