A curated collection of edited transcriptions from the recordings of Baden Powell, compiled by Tom Tabachynsky. These 21 pieces span Baden Powell's introspective, harmonically rich solo guitar repertoire — from original compositions like Apelo, Sentimentos, and Retrato Brasileiro to his arrangements of Jobim, Garoto, Bonfá, Monk and Gardel.

Every transcription has been re-engraved from scratch: rhythm and phrasing cleaned up, bar structure regularised, and each piece organised into clearly signposted sections (A, B, C) with symmetrical four-bar-per-line layouts designed for continuous reading. No repeat signs — ideal for iPad use with Piascore or similar scrolling apps, or for print.

This is performance-ready repertoire. Baden Powell's harmonic language — extended jazz voicings, suspended chords, chromatic voice leading — is preserved with minimal modification, staying as close as possible to what's heard on the recordings. The pieces are technically accessible despite their harmonic sophistication: comfortable positions, no virtuosity required. The main challenge is sustaining focus through longer pieces, many of which deliver five to six minutes of music each.
