The Turia Gardens are one of the most unique urban parks you can find. The river that once flowed through the city, the Turia, was diverted after the disastrous floods of 1957. Its former riverbed almost became a highway. But fortunately, after years of haphazard planning, the riverbed is now completely landscaped. Stretching for nearly 9 kilometers, it hosts sports fields, bike paths, walking trails, and children's playgrounds—and it leads you right to the futuristic buildings of the City of Arts and Sciences. It offers a breathtaking contrast of atmospheres, right in the heart of the city. The next step will be to develop the final stretch leading to the Mediterranean Sea. But for now, enjoy this run that takes you to see the most iconic landmarks and the very best viewpoints.

Les Jardins du Turia sont un des parcs urbains les plus atypiques qui soient. Le fleuve qui traversait la ville, le Turia, fut détourné après les inondations désastreuses de 1957. Son ancien lit faillit devenir une autoroute. Mais par chance, et après des années d'aménagements hasardeux, le lit du fleuve est désormais intégralement paysager, et accueille sur près de 9km terrains de sport, pistes cyclables, sentiers pédestres et jeux pour enfants. Et vous mène jusqu’aux bâtiments futuristes de la Cité des Arts et des Sciences. Un contraste d’atmosphères époustouflant, en plein coeur de la ville. La prochaine étape consistera à aménager le dernier tronçon menant à la Méditerranée. Mais pour le moment profitez de ce run qui vous emmène y voir les points les plus emblématiques et les meilleurs points de vues.
