Wild Geese Beanie Knitting Pattern

This design was inspired by Flying Geese quilts, but named in reference to my favorite poem, “Wild Geese,” by Mary Oliver, which always helps me find perspective. Quick and easy!
Yarn: Worsted weight. I used Fiber for the People's Organic Merino Worsted in the Laurel colorway.
Yardage: 125 yards
Needles: Size US 6 (4.0mm) and size US 8 (5.0mm) circular needles on a 16” cord (or needles needed to get gauge); size US 8 DPNs (or size needed to get gauge) if needed for crown decreases.
Gauge: 5 stitches and 7 rows equals 1 inch in unblocked stockinette. Gauge measurements were taken with no blocking.
Measurements: Measurements with no blocking: 8” tall with an unstretched circumference of 16” inches (will stretch to fit an adult head).
