How can you use the content license?

You may use the content in any way you wish, but subject to the limitations of the term of the agreement (see note regarding limited sharing). Subject to these limitations and as set out in the agreement, the rights granted to you are: Perpetual, meaning that there is no expiration or termination of the term legally granted to you to use the content downloaded during the term of the agreement;

Non-exclusive, meaning that you do not have exclusive rights to use the content. iStock may update the license for the same content to another user;

Worldwide, meaning that you may use the content anywhere in the world;

Unlimited in quantity, meaning that you may use the content for use in any media.

For the purposes of the agreement, "use" means to copy, reproduce, modify, edit, synchronize, share, display, broadcast, publish, or otherwise use.

Use Restrictions.

No Unlawful Use. You may not use the Content for pornographic, defamatory or other unlawful purposes, to promote violence or hatred, or in violation of applicable laws or industry codes.

No Standalone Use. You may not use the Content in a way that would allow others to download, extract or redistribute the Content as a standalone file (meaning content that is separate from the design or end use).

No Use in a Trademark or Logo. Except for holders of a Custom License, you may not use the Content (in whole or in part) as a distinctive or distinguishing feature of a trademark, design mark, trade name, company name, service mark or logo. In addition, the User is not entitled to register (in any jurisdiction) the content (in whole or in part) as a trademark or to rely on such registration, prior use and/or acquisition of good faith in order to prevent any third party from using the content provided or any similar content .

Obligation to include a statement of sensitive content. If the User uses content that depicts an image of a person or property in connection with a subject matter that may be unflattering or unduly controversial to a reasonable person (for example, sexually transmitted diseases), the User must then indicate that (1) the content is used for illustrative purposes only, and (2) each person depicted in the material is a model. For example, it is possible to say something like: "Photo from a stock photo catalog. Presented by a model." In the event that the User uses content that is "for editorial purposes only" used in editorial materials, the User is not required to include a statement to that effect.

It is prohibited to misrepresent authorship. The User is prohibited from misrepresenting that he or she is the original creator of a work that consists largely of licensed content. For example, the User may not create an image based solely on licensed content
