In this lesson, students will discuss their preferences when it comes to art forms and art styles. They will define the concept of urban art and graffiti. They will also predict information before listening for gist and for detail. Students will listen to a South African street artist who shares his inspiring story. Students will work on their listening decoding skills, they will also make their own graffiti and discuss engaging questions with their classmates / teacher. There is a focus on language in which students will learn / review modal verbs of obligation in context and a focus on lexis in which students will use lexical chunks from the video in a realistic way. By the end of the lesson, students will choose a follow-up tasl according to their interests and needs (speaking, writing, listening, reading).
