Ostara
Ostara is a set of 50 references inspired by spring with elements surrounding the subject in a "still life" manner...pomegranate, eggs, milk, and flowers.
The word Ostara comes from the Anglo-Saxon goddess name, Eostre. Eostre represented spring and new beginnings.
Ostara is a Wiccan holiday and one of their eight Sabbats. Ostara celebrates the spring equinox.
I wanted to create a story in which spring was a person who was having a hard time getting out of her slumber to fullfil her duties...waking the world up, making the flowers bloom and the fruits taste sweet. As always I hope my work inspires your art💐
