Some humans wake with the precise sense of a route no instrument confirms.

There is no single new sense. Living beings combine many weak signals:

• magnetic orientation

• gravity and balance

• light and circadian rhythms

• atmospheric pressure

• memory, movement and inherited sensitivity

Janus

Kiro detects a new direction. It leads to Janus, a lost mobile habitat whose inhabitants no longer live under one stable sky. Its animals were originally carried for a specific purpose: to preserve the relation to Earth when coordinates, gravity and direction no longer agreed. They became the Keepers of Earth.

From observation to exploitation

Stratoforms begin to perform better when certain animals or sensitive humans are present. The network learns from them. Soon, living beings become Living Anchors — biological references used to stabilize routes. And observation begins to become extraction.
