Have you ever started knitting something only to find you like the ‘wrong side’ better? With the Grass is Greener shawl, just flip it over - the grass is greener on the other side! (Or in my case, the shawl is greener…)

The idea for this pattern started when a couple of testers for the Rays & Rainbows shawl found that they liked the wrong side of the brioche section better than the right side. That pattern wasn’t reversible, so I set out to create a similar shawl pattern where either side can be the ‘right side’.

Grass is Greener is worked from the centre outward starting with a cast on that is wide enough to start the seven wedges that form the shawl. These wedges alternate between Brioche and Garter Stitch. Increases within the centre wedge occur on both sides, while increases within the other wedges only occur on one side.
