Pathfinder - PDF knitting pattern

Pathfinder is inspired by our trip to India and the beautiful Amber Palace in Jaipur. Twisted stitches travel around the Hat, as if through corridors and doorways, following their own intricate pattern towards the crown.

The pattern is worked from the bottom up and is provided in 4 sizes. Both charted and written instructions are included, as is an illustrated tutorial for the cast-on.

Yarn

149 [182, 219, 257] yd/136 [166, 200, 235] m
59yd/54m for a 6x6in/15x15cm swatch in Garter St.
DK weight, plied yarn.

Needles & Notions

Set 3.25mm/UK10/US3 DPNs/Circular or size needed to obtain gauge
3.5mm crochet hook
Stitch marker as necessary
Tapestry needle

Gauge

22 sts x 44 rows to 4in/10cm on 3.25mm needles over Garter St.
24 sts x 48 rows to 4in/10cm on 3.25mm needles over travelling slipped stitch pattern.

To fit size: 18 [20, 22, 24] in/45.75 [50.75, 56, 61] cm
Finished size: 15.25 [17.5, 19.75, 21.75] in/ 38.75 [44.5, 50.25, 55.25] cm
