Body measurements:

Waist: S= 27in M= 30in L= 33in.

Hip: S= 38in M= 41n L= 44in.

5-6 yards suggested.

-Tip: Add length and or godet to panel for more dramatic effect.

Fabric :

Crepes, Stable Knits, Taffeta, Satin. Overlay: Lace, Sheers. Scrub fabric, Dashiki fabric / high volume fabrics. 4way stretch fabrics, jersey, spandex (Lycra). Stretch lace, ITY knit, jersey knit, rayon. Anything with a one or two way stretch, with at least 40-50% stretch in one direction, and good recovery (goes back to original shape after being stretched out).

SKILL LEVEL

Skill level is subjective but to give you an idea I’d say intermediate level. Experience in sewing and working with patterns is needed. Beginners sewers welcome — meaning you should already understand basic sewing techniques, how to read a simple pattern, and feel comfortable using a sewing machine.
