Rayan is another design named after one of my children. This is a memorial of sorts, for a child who did not live long. This type of primitive comfort doll is known in our house as a lovey or a wubbie. It is a topsy turvy doll as well. The lace is reversible, and there is a head for each side, one that is awake and one for sleeping. Perfect for a quiet time toy, or as a bedtime comforter, or as a “church doll” that a little one can bang around during services without making a noise to disturb those around her.

Note: I used a five skein mini-pack to make this doll. This is a perfect project for leftovers, however. I used 45 yards of each color or less.
