Over the years I’ve gotten many messages from knitters saying that they’d love to make my Nuit d’etoiles shawl, but that they’re intimidated by the size and by the laceweight gauge. Sure on this Shining Night is the result of those messages—a smaller, friendlier Nuit d’etoiles. Knit with two skeins of fingering weight, Sure on this Shining Night is for you if you love the shimmering lace and tilted short rows of Nuit d’etoiles but want the look just a little quicker and a little smaller. This shawl is still a challenge project with wraps & turns and lace patterning worked on both sides of the fabric, transforming your yarn into a starry, showstopping work of art. Named for a beloved art song by Samuel Barber.
