The Dirty Children

The Dirty Children: A Noir-Fusion Thriller

by John Anthony Celona

Synopsis

In a rundown motel on the city’s edge, a desperate couple hires Nick Tempo—a damaged ex-FBI agent with a bullet scar near his heart and a machine gun in his trunk. Their daughter’s vanished with a stolen radioactive orb. And a violent gangster, bent on unleashing mass destruction, wants her found. But this isn’t just another case filled with grifters, gangsters, and jaded dames. Above the motel, strange orbs burn through the sky. Haiping—a glowing hybrid of man and mystery—parkours across rooftops, pursued by forces not of this Earth. Katie, the runaway with the orb, becomes a target for thugs, rogue punks, and something deeper, something cosmic.

At a UFO convention spiraling into chaos, secret séances, firebombs, and a truck hauling a weaponized flying saucer converge in a radioactive showdown. Visions bleed into reality. Nick sees the face of his dead lover in the motel walls. The air tastes like war. And from the beyond, a spectral woman whispers: You are becoming.

The Dirty Children fuses noir grit with supernatural suspense. Bullets fly, skies burn, and the end may not be human.

Who survives? Who mutates? Who disappears into the beam?
