Feel Better Socks

Knit during a bout of Covid, these toe-up self-stripe socks are the perfect combination of entertainment and relaxation. A self stripe yarn for variety and an easy to memorise cable up one side to add interest.

The sample as shown used a 50g skein of self stripe yarn with a 20g contrast skein for heels, cuffs and toes - for the size M.

If knitting for a larger foot you would either need to use an alternative 100g skein of self stripe yarn, or have more contrast yarn on hand for a longer cuff.

YARN: Sock Set 75% superwash merino/25% nylon - Giddy Yarns. Colourway Peacock,212m (232yds) per 50g (MC)85m (92 yds) per 20g (CC)

NEEDLES: 2.5mm. Pattern is written for magic loop but is easily adapted to your preferred method of small circumference knitting.

SIZE: M (L): 20 (22.5)cm/8 (8.75") circumference, with approx 2cm/0.75" negative ease.
