TRIO Starlink Flatmount

After having some friends whose dishes were fried by other commercially available flatmounts failing, I decided to design and fabricate my own fully waterproof starlink flatmount and am now offering it for order!

The entire mount with the dish installed is 1 1/4" thick. * This is for use with Starlink's V2 rectangular dish only.

The TRIO flatmount is manufactured and assembled entirely in-house in BC, Canada.

• Constructed from waterproof and UV resistant ASA material (UV resistant, no moisture absorption)
• Laser cut 3mm acrylic bottom is adhered with sikaflex
• Brass heat set inserts are used to eliminate risk of plastic threads stripping over time
• Crimp-on shielded rj45 connectors and shielded connector included for waterproof connection
• O-ring coated with silicone lubricant for a watertight seal
• 4.5 mm cnc cut polycarbonate top
• All stainless steel hardware

Mounting options:

• through bolt M5 in corners
• rubber coated magnets in corners
• heavy duty vacuum suction cups in corners.

*NOTE: this does require cutting your starlink dish to remove the motors. You will also need to cut the starlink cable to feed it through the waterproof cable gland and crimp on RJ45 waterproof connectors. $20 crimp tool on amazon is all that is required for standard T568B connections. Shielded connectors are all included with the mount.

Cutting on a table saw is fast and very low risk of damaging the dish. Use the following cut guidelines:

End height of cut dish (distance from fence to blade): 23 mm (0.9 inch)

Blade height for sides: 9/16+”

Blade heights for ends: 1 1/2” (make sure not to cut too deep on this one)

Join cut lines in the corners using oscillating multi-tool (do NOT cut middle portions with multi-tool due to risk of hitting wires and internal components).
