Unexpected Reunion

I arrive at my brother’s cabin, laptop in hand, desperately hoping that this three-week stay will be a much-needed recovery from the accident. What I can’t do is ignore work. As long as I have a phone and computer, I’m set. To my shocked surprise the cottage is already occupied by my wife–my very pregnant wife whom I haven’t seen in six months!

That changes everything. Whirlwind emotions coursed through me; rage at her disappearance coupled with an overwhelming love for her that still lingers despite our tumultuous history. Was this trip finally going to provide me with the opportunity to make things right?
