Over the next 5 active lab days, you are going to guide him from decoding single words all the way to

authoring a book. Remember our core rule: we do not use the word 'reading.' You are issuing tactical

commands, supply drops, and blueprint schematics. Let his hands lead his brain. If he struggles to decode a

command, isolate the first sound and let his mechanical logic and desire to build push him through.

Even give him something that will make the sounds for him. So he is learning it himself!! I am not big on phones or tablets but for those parents that do allow them this is a perfect way to teach your children that they can be used for things other than scrolling media outlets! or just playing games that they can actually learn something from the web.
