Ruffle Edge Knitted Shawl

This crescent shaped shawl curves snugly around your neck, and can be worn as a shawl or wrapped around as a cowl. It is worked from end to end with the ruffle knitted as you go, making it completely adjustable in terms of size.

It uses the German short row technique to create the ruffled edge, which I believe is the easiest short row method. and is fully described in the pattern, but you can use whichever is your favourite.

Details are included on how to adjust the pattern to make a shorter, fatter shawl or any other changes you may like to make. Work in stripes as shown or a single colour or why not try a self-striping yarn. Let your imagination run wild!

Size

Shawl measures approximately 145cm by 28cm (adjustable)

1 x 100g skein of Fyberspates Pure Silk DK (or any DK/Light Worsted weight yarn), colour Warm Metals (200m per 100g) A

3 x 50g balls of Sirdar Snuggle Baby Bamboo (or any DK/Light Worsted weight yarn), DK, colour Cream, 131 (95m per 50g) B

1 pair of 4mm knitting needles
