The Root Worker’s Formulary is a comprehensive, practical reference guide for practitioners who want to move beyond memorizing correspondences and begin understanding how spiritual formulas are actually built. Rather than functioning as a spell book or a collection of fixed recipes, this manual teaches a condition-based approach to formulation. It focuses on why specific ingredients are chosen, what role they serve inside a formula, how their temperament affects the finished work, and how to build balanced oils, powders, washes, baths, and other spiritual preparations with intention.

Inside, you’ll learn how to identify the condition you are working with, select ingredients based on function instead of folklore alone, understand formulation roles such as Builders, Cleansers, Stabilizers, Blockers, Directors, Amplifiers, and Returners, evaluate herbal temperament, structure formulas with better balance, troubleshoot weak or conflicting blends, and understand when layering or sequencing is necessary.

The book also includes an extensive ingredient reference covering more than 200 roots, herbs, waters, oils, powders, resins, minerals, animal curios, and carriers, along with practical formulation examples and correspondence tables designed to support your own working process.

Written from a Hoodoo framework, The Root Worker’s Formulary is intended to help practitioners develop stronger discernment, better formulation habits, and the confidence to create work based on purpose rather than simply copying what someone else has done.

This is a formulation manual for people who want to understand the work, not just follow instructions.
