About Me
Hi I’m Kamai, the creator of Haus of Sunflowers and author of The Root Worker’s Formulary. My work is rooted in Hoodoo, rootwork, historical research, practical spiritual education, and the study of how people develop deeper relationships with their own practice. I’m especially interested in the “why” behind spiritual work. Why certain materials are used, how traditions developed, how symbolism functions, and how practical experience changes the way we understand what we have been taught. My approach blends research, lived practice, critical thinking, and a strong emphasis on discernment.
Through my books, classes, and educational resources, I aim to help people move beyond surface-level information and build practices that are more informed, intentional, and personally meaningful.
Haus of Sunflowers extends that work and gives me a place to share what I create with people serious about learning.
